Where to find strength for the battle?
Do you find yourself needing strength for the battle just a few hours into the day? You may be physically, mentally, and emotionally spent trying to balance meeting the family’s needs at home while also working from home.
Undoubtedly, these are very challenging times. While one can increase the intake of vitamins and energy drinks, we need supernatural inner strength and stamina to run this life’s race.
Fortunately, a superabundant supply of strength for the battle is available.
For maximum strength for the battle, be strong in the Lord.
First, 1 Corinthians 6:17 says, “He who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.”
Second, Ephesians 6:10 says to “be strong in the Lord and His mighty power.” A literal translation reads: Be empowered in the Lord and the strength of His might.
So, here are four things you can do to start your day strong.
Affirm your spiritual armor.
Verbally affirming God’s armor will fortify your inner man, renew your confidence in the Lord, and help you have strength for the battle. (Eph 6:10-17)
Pray in the Spirit to have strength for the battle.
Ephesians 6:18 says to pray with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit. To pray in the spirit means to pray led and empowered by the Holy Spirit. It also means to pray in spiritual languages. Jude 1:20 says you build yourself up on your most holy faith when you pray in the Holy Spirit.
Praise the Lord—the joy of the Lord is your strength for the battle.
Heartfelt rejoicing, praise, and thanksgiving will bless God, shut down the enemy’s operations in your life, and energize your day for Spirit-infused, joyous, victorious living.
Speak the Spirit-anointed Word to stay spiritually healthy and strong.
The God-breathed scriptures become powerfully alive when we speak them out in faith. (2 Tim 3:16; Heb 4:12) Speak God’s Word as a matter of habit. And expect the Holy Spirit to remind you of the Word you need in any given situation.

P.S. People love my latest book. They say it is “beautiful, concise, and thoroughly researched,” “a must-read.” I wrote it a few months ago for such a time as this and moving forward when it is crucial to hear the voice of God. You can get your copy here: the Simplicity of Hearing God: 21 Ways God Speaks to Us.
