How to walk in the Spirit and live free
Do you know what it means to walk in the Spirit and live free?
The Lord calls believers to walk in the Spirit. That is, allow the Holy Spirit to choreograph your life. Living is a lot easier when our hearts are in unison with His, and we follow His lead.
Perhaps, like me, you thought you were walking in the Spirit and living free in 2020. You were looking forward to a new year and advancing in school, career, business, ministry.
Then, suddenly, a shocker. For over a year, the hordes of hell have worked around the clock to confuse us, oppress us, hem us in, shut us up, shut us down. And, some believers have been shaken, scattered, and even given up.
Dear ones. Who has bewitched you that you should believe the lies of fallen angels who are eternally doomed? The God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the most glorious Father, is forever on the throne in the highest heaven. Jesus is the Final Word. And He sent the Holy Spirit to help us through thick and thin.
What happens when you walk in the Spirit?
When you walk in the Spirit, you will:
- Know the truth. The eternal Spirit of God will give you pure truth. And the truth you know and operate in will make you free. (Jn 8:32)
- Access the highest wisdom. Only those who walk in the Spirit will have the clarity to handle the most difficult situations. (Eph 1:17)
- Live with courage. The Most-High God is a God of justice. He allows people to operate in the vanity of their minds until He doesn’t. Do not fear anyone. (2 Tim 1:7)
- Live free and positively impact others. When you live without worry, anxiety, or fear, people will want to know the Lord you serve.
Three habits to develop to walk in the Spirit and live free
View everything from Heaven’s point of view
See life in light of Christ. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the ending. Seated at the Father’s right hand, He is the Lord God Omnipotent who overrules all existing rule, authority, power, and lordship—forever! Everything under His feet is under ours. (Rev 1:8, 22:20; Eph 1:22-23, 2:6)
Practice the presence of God.
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of pure joy. So, let the Holy Spirit fill your life with joy and hope. Let Him help you pray, praise, and understand the Scriptures. (Col 3:16, Eph 5:19, Jn 14:26. Jn 6:13)
Always show God’s love to all people.
As despicable, hypocritical, and self-absorbed as some in-your-face people are, God calls us to love, forgive, and pray for them. It is not easy, but it is always right.

Let’s move forward in God’s Spirit, who leads us into all truth. To walk in the Spirit and live free is to walk full of light, truth, faith, love, joy, peace, and hope.

I have been very ill with covid and still in the middle of it but everything Cap is saying is from the mouth of God. His faithfullness is forever.
