Shut the Door to Evil Channels
Television stations are rightly called channels. They are channels or conduits to get someone’s ideas, good or bad, into your mind.
Like most of you, I enjoy a good movie or television show. But, today’s films and television programs fuel people’s baser instincts like never before. Violence, greed, and evil rule the day. Swear words are the norms. If you allow this garbage into your home, a residue of darkness and confusion will remain in the atmosphere.
(Now you know where those crazy dreams come from.)
Realize that forces of evil are vying for control of your mind. They work around the clock to (1) discredit God, (2) distort the real image of God, (3) block our view of God, (4) break our God focus, and (5) muffle the sound of God’s voice. They use every form of media to accomplish this.
The good news is that God has given Christ believers spiritual armor to protect our inner man. However, this armor is compromised if we give even one iota of ground to the devil.
The first step to clear bad images in your home is to slam the door in evil’s face. And, have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness.
Overrule Darkness with Light and Truth
People of light are called to release light and truth everywhere. The Word of God is light and truth. Light and truth will pierce through darkness and expose it for what it is.
Every word of God is potent: alive, energizing, powerful, and efficient. Like a hammer, the Spirit-anointed Word will shatter strongholds and break yokes.
Right now, break the power of evil thoughts, words, and images projected to your mind. Break the power of evil reports and curses spoken to, over, about, or against you and yours. Declare the blood of Jesus over your household.
Prophesy God-given truths to change your world and positively influence the world around you.
Overrule Bad Atmospheres with Triumphant Praise
Years ago, when someone would say something good, believers would say, “Praise the Lord.” One hardly hears that anymore.
Don’t be shy. Psalm 150:6 says, “Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD.”
Say it, and do it. Triumphant praise will change bad atmospheres.

Do not let bad atmospheres oppress you. Take charge. Release the forces of life everywhere you go.
