blood of Jesus

All I can think about these days is the love of God and the blood of Jesus. These two eternal forces, my friends, are game-changers. Here are three reasons why:

  1. The sinless blood of Jesus secures eternal redemption.
  2. The blood of Jesus secures our peace with God.
  3. The blood of Jesus assures our protection.

The sinless blood of Jesus secures eternal redemption

Imagine this headline on the front page of every major newspaper:

ONE DROP OF SINLESS BLOOD DESTROYS
SIN VIRUS FOR BILLIONS FOREVER!

That is precisely the result of Jesus’ death on the cross. Three days later, God raised Him from the dead. Then Jesus ascended to Heaven. And, with His blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all time and secured our eternal redemption. (Heb 9:12)

We were all slaves to sin and under a death sentence – for the wages of sin is death. But God made Jesus, who knew no sin, to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. (2 Cor 5:21)

Jesus is God’s gift of salvation— available to all—whoever will receive Him. (Jn 3:16, Eph 2:8, 9, Jn 1:12)

“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.” (Eph 1:7)

To redeem is to pay a ransom to secure freedom. God paid a costly price for us— to get back His possession, to release us from captivity, to set us free from sin, to give us a new spirit. So that He could fully bless us and give us an eternal inheritance.

The ransom price was the life of God’s dear Son who was crucified and died on the cross for us. Jesus willingly gave His life a sacrifice and a ransom forin place of, instead of—all us sinners.

Now, in Christ, instead of death for us, there is life. Instead of slavery to sin, there is freedom from sin.

Friends, in Christ, God has redeemed our lives from destruction and crowned us with lovingkindness and tender mercies. He has redeemed us out from the hand of the enemy. (Ps. 103:4, 106:10, 1 Pet 5:8)

The blood of Jesus secures our peace with God

Through the blood of His cross, Christ has made peace with God for us. He forgives us, cleanses us, redeems us.

On top of that, God gives us His super-amazing peace to guard our hearts and minds. When you have peace with God and the supernatural peace of God, you can overcome any obstacle.

The blood of Jesus assures protection

Christ’s blood is a permanent covenant bond between you and God. Every time you declare what the Word says about the blood of Jesus, Satan and his demonic forces are immobilized – can’t move against you. The blood of Jesus speaks total victory and freedom.

Following is a prayer of thanksgiving for the blood of Jesus.

Prayer for yourself and others

Father, thank you for your amazing love and the gift of your son Jesus Christ to the world. Thank you for the sinless blood of Jesus shed at Calvary, which paid the price for our redemption forever.

Lord, I am thankful that you are my refuge and strength, my strong tower, my fortress. You are my refuge from the storms of life, my shade from the heat.

I declare the blood of Jesus over ______ (family, city, state, nation, all those in authority, and all those who work selflessly to help others).

Thank you for the blessings of food, clean water, shelter, clothing, strength, and vitality for ______. I am grateful for ______’s healing and complete restoration. Thank you that nothing shall separate ______ from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. In Jesus Name, I pray.
