Reverence God

Did you know that reverence for God is the key that opens the door to possessing true knowledge, perception, skill, understanding, intelligence, wisdom, and discernment, and experiencing the promises of God?
To reverence God means to honor, fear and respect Him. It means to worship and stand in awe of Him, to love, obey and be devoted to Him, and to walk in humility, love, and integrity before Him.
The Scriptures set forth many promises to those who reverence God. Here are 5.
5 Promises to those who Reverence God
God will reveal divine secrets to those who Reverence God
The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, and He will show them His covenant. ~ Ps 25:14
When you have a holy respect for the Lord, He will reveal divine secrets (treasures of wisdom and knowledge) and give you a deeper understanding of His covenant with you.
Wealth and riches will be given to those who Reverence God
Wealth and riches will be in his house and his righteousness endures forever. ~ Ps 112:3
God will see to it that wealth and riches, substance, sufficiency, and well-being are in your house. You will be blessed financially. Your soul will be at peace. Because you honor God, He will honor you. All will be well with you, and your whole household will be blessed.
The heart’s desire of those who Reverence God will be fulfilled
He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him . . . ~ Ps 145:19a
God is essentially, absolutely and consummately good. When you reverence Him, He will fulfill the righteous desires of your heart.
The angel of the Lord encamps around those who Reverence God
The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them. ~ Ps 34:7
When you reverence the Lord, the angel of the Lord encamps (pitches his tent) around you. He will defend and protect you.
I am reminded when the Assyrian king Sennacherib laid siege to Judah and boasted that no god could deliver Judah out of his hand, God sent one angel who wiped out 185,000 Assyrian soldiers (2 Ki 19:35). Wow! One angel is all you need to encamp around, defend and protect you.
Exceedingly great mercy is over those who Reverence God
For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him. ~ Ps 103:11
When you reverence God, His exceedingly great mercy is over your life. When you fear and trust God, you will not be afraid of any bad news or evil reports.
