Malware, Covert Operations, Spirits of Audacity

How would you like to log onto your computer to find a notice stating that your computer was on lock down by the FBI? That is what happened to me this past Tuesday. I thought, dear Lord, the government really is watching everything we do.

The notice essentially said I was in violation of federal law for illegal use of software. Well I knew that wasn’t true. I have licenses for all my software. The notice went on to say I could remedy the situation by paying a $300 fine. The fine could be paid online to “Money Pak.” Despite the official look and tone of this notice, I knew it was a scam.

Malware

A friend of mine checked online and found out that malware had been embedded into my computer hard drive. “Malware, short for malicious software, is software used to disrupt computer operation, gather sensitive information, or gain access to private computer systems.” (Wikipedia.org) This particular hostile and intrusive malware was called the “FBI virus.”

After spending a couple hours talking to different technicians, I decided to take my computer to a repair shop recommended by a friend.

Yesterday, I jotted down a few observations about this malware.

Covert Operations

1. The source and intent of malware. Malware is the result of covert operations by evil minded people. Ultimately it can be said malware is spawned in the counsels of hell. Malware comes as a thief to steal one’s money and, if possible, I.D., good name and credit. (See Jn 10:10)
2. Tactics:

Intimidation. Criminals behind the malware try to intimidate people to pay out money they do not owe. If they don’t pay, their computer remains locked. Good chance that if they do pay their computer will remain locked.

False accusations. Malware criminals falsely accuse people of crimes. How many know the real accuser is the devil?

People of God must stay fully clothed in the armor of God. We must hold out the shield of faith to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. (Eph 6:16) We must stand up in the Spirit and take authority over the devil and his false accusations.

Distraction and Delay. Malware causes distraction and delay. The devil always tries to get you off track, slow you down, and stop your momentum. Don’t let him.

Spirits of Audacity

We are living in a time when spirits of audacity are running rampant. They are trying to lord over your life with their illegitimate spiritual activity.

It takes audacity for someone to enter your property, try to take over, and shut down your operating system. It takes audacity for someone to try to cut you off from your communication systems. Notice that in war one of the first things the enemy tries to do is knock out his opponent’s communication systems.

The devil has the audacity to rear up in front of you and stand between you and the promises, prophecies, and provision of God. I say, to hell with the devil.

The Lord Jesus says if you have faith the size of a tiny mustard seed, you have enough faith to command the mountain (any obstacle) “Get out of my way.” (See Mk 11:23)

Three days after this malware attack, I am more determined than ever to assail the kingdom of darkness through strong praise, prayer, and prophetic declarations and decrees!

Today I’m posting my own notice: God’s people will not shut up, shut down, back up, or back down. This is our Father’s universe. “The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein.” (Ps 24:1) Greater is He who is in us than he that is in the world (1 Jn 4:4).

One last thought. Do cover your homes, family, personal communication devices, etc., with the blood of Jesus. Also, pray over communication systems strategic to our nation’s defense.
