Keep Trusting God

The season we are coming out of has been difficult. It seems we have had to fight in the spirit for just about everything. Many are battle weary. I want to encourage you today. Keep trusting God!

Keep trusting God: Read the Word

Some people say they are having trouble hearing God. I am reminded of words spoken by Bishop Renny McLain, “When I can’t hear God, I read God.” Now there is a good place to start. Read the Word.

For those of us who like to study God’s Word, sometimes we need to just sit down and read the Word. Forget about the Hebrew and Greek. Relax. Just sit back and read a few chapters and let the Word refresh you.

Keep trusting God with childlike faith

Real joy and peace are based on trusting God and having a deep-settled confidence that He is in control of your life. Keep trusting God with childlike faith. You are God’s child. Settle once and for all that Daddy God:

• loves you with an everlasting love
• is good (all the time)
• is gracious, full of compassion
• is excellent in all His ways
• is faithful to keep His promises
• will never allow you to be tempted, tested or tried more than you can handle
• will always provide a way to escape (1 Cor 10:13)

Trust God’s presence in your inner man, as well as around you, and over your life. Remember, this is your Father’s universe. Be settled in God’s keeping power. We are kept (watched over, guarded, protected, preserved) by God’s miraculous power. (1 Pet 1:5) Use your faith to override any mindsets that contradict these truths. 

Keep trusting God: wait on Him

“Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall. But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run and not be weary. They shall walk and not faint.” (Isa 40:30-31)

Get fresh strength by waiting on the Lord. To wait means to expect, to await, to look eagerly for, and to hope.

It also means to twist together (like a tightly twisted rope). Each morning, I twist myself together with the Lord through a synergy of prayer, praise, declarations and decrees. This goes a long way to keeping peace and joy throughout the day.

Keep rejoicing in the Lord

The key to releasing the glory and favor of God in your life is to always rejoice in the Lord.

“Though the fig tree may not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines; though the labor of the olive may fail, and the fields yield no food; though the flock may be cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls— Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer’s feet, and He will make me walk on my high hills.” (Hab 3:17-19)

We may not find joy in the circumstances, but we can always find joy in the Lord. Let the victorious Lord Jesus be your focus, your strength, and the rejoicing of your heart every day.
