Did you know you were born with extraordinary God-given powers? Oh, yes.

The other day I was scrolling through a seemingly endless array of stock photos of “people.” Every ethnicity, size, age, social strata – each uniquely beautiful. The Lord reminded me how valuable and precious every person is to Him.

You see, God created people to bear similitude to Himself (Gen 1:26). He made us spirit, soul, and body and endowed us with moral, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual attributes, making us distinct from and superior to the animal kingdom.

Here are five God-given powers every human possesses.

Five Outstanding God-Given Powers

1. God-Given Power to Reason

Humans have the power to reason, comprehend, and understand. To come to conclusions, we can turn thoughts over in our minds – consider, question, and deliberate over them.

2. Power to Perceive

God has placed inner sensing, perception, or knowingness inside our inner man. Call it intuition, the sixth sense, or a “gut feeling.” We all have it. It is a gift from God meant to protect us.

3. God-Given Power to Choose

God created every person with free will. In God’s eyes, every person is a free moral agent with the power to choose what we believe, say, and do, and to whom or what we submit. This power is also called self-determination.

4. Power to Communicate

To communicate is to speak by word or writing to exchange thoughts, information, and ideas.

There are over 7,000 human languages spoken in today’s world. However, according to the 11th edition of the Encyclopedia Britannica, “[…] all existing human speech is one in the essential characteristics . . . even as humanity is one in its distinction from the lower animals; the differences are in nonessentials.” (Emphasis added)

I have found an excellent way to communicate with people who speak a different language is to smile and say “hello” in their language. That opens doors to more dialogue.

5. Power to Commune

God has placed an inward longing inside every person to commune with Him. Communion, derived from com (come together) and union, means blending as one.

Of course, no one can commune with God automatically. The Bible tells us that sin and death entered the world through Adam (Rom 5:12). Death spread to everyone because everyone sinned. Death here speaks of separation from God.

Everyone has sinned. So, everyone needs a Savior who can make us right with God and release us from the bondage of sin. Christ is the only Savior. Choose Him.

Reclaim Freedom

God did everything He did so that we could be free to be and do our utmost good.

Today, evil forces and demonically inspired people work nonstop to lord over people’s free wills. Don’t allow it. You have God-given power and authority in Christ over all the works of darkness. Use it.

We must take back our Athority in Christ Jesus and be the men and women God called us to be!!
Thank you for reminding me through these perlious times that we are the winners the Word says so in Numbers 23:19 Amp.
“God is not a man, that He should
tell or act a lie, neither the Son of man, that He should feel repentance or compunction(for what He has promised). Has He said and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken and shall He not make it good?
