Freedom is God’s Idea and Your Inalienable Right
Freedom is God’s idea; start to finish. Think of it: He gave every person a free-will.
What a marvelous thing! God says each of us can choose, think, express, be, and do. Your inalienable right. My inalienable right. God-given. Priceless!
Real progress is living free and helping others to do the same.
Freedom has a basic morality.
Freedom’s basic morality can be summed up like this:
No, O people, the LORD has told you what is good? And this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. –Mic 6:8, NLT
To assault freedom is to oppose God.
The opposite of freedom is captivity, bondage, slavery, subjugation. These things come about when you let people with a high opinion of self and a low view of you lord over you. When the government opposes your freedom, that government stands against and opposes God, who alone is Supreme.
The Declaration of Independence speaks individual freedom.
America’s founding documents agree with God. The Declaration of Independence, written in 1776 primarily by Thomas Jefferson, states that everyone is entitled to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these Rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just Powers from the Consent of the Governed.”
The Preamble to the Constitution limits government’s role in the lives of free people.
“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”
Should free people rewrite history?
To rewrite history is dishonest and dangerous. Keep these wise sayings in mind:
“If you don’t know your history, you are doomed to repeat it.”
“Do it once, shame on you. Do it twice, shame on me.”
“Never Again.”
You can’t change the past. But you can stand up, say, and do what is right from now on.
Dark figures hide behind the statue of freedom
About a year ago, I had a dream of a towering dark figure running across the U.S. Capitol Dome and ducking behind the Statue of Freedom. It was night. Though I couldn’t make out the figure, I knew it was not human. It was a high-ranking demon.
You might say, “I don’t believe in demons.” Well, okay. Who, then, is influencing the unquenchable violence, lawlessness, chaos, and confusion in our cities? (God is not the author of confusion, but peace—1 Cor 14:33) And who influences hostile, implacable, hypocritical, self-righteous, and self-centered lawmakers who do everything but protect our life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness?
Believe it or not, the age-long agenda of demonic forces is to oppose God and your inalienable right to live free.
How to regain God-given freedom
- Pray.
- Honor God; respect others.
- Stand fast in the liberty wherein Christ has made us free. (Gal 5:1)
- Vote for patriots and freedom lovers.
