Crazy War Against the LORD and His Anointed

While we have been wearing masks and sheltering in place for three months, hell’s hordes have been busy. They are trying to shift our nation and the world spiritually. As it has been from the beginning, their goal is a godless society, a secular one-world government without the LORD and His Anointed.

Their tools – violence, confusion, chaos, death, and destruction – are not new. Those are the devil’s tools.

Prophecy of the war against the LORD and His Anointed

About 1000 years before the birth of Jesus, King David prophesied there would be great opposition to the Messiah and His kingdom.

Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing? (Ps 2:1, NKJV)

What fools the nations are to rage against the Lord! How strange that men should try to outwit God! For a summit conference of the nations has been called to plot against the Lord and his Anointed, Christ the King. “Come, let us break his chains,” they say, “and free ourselves from all this slavery to God.” (Ps 2:1-3, TLB)

When Jesus came to the earth, there was a hostile uproar by many leaders. When King Herod heard a new king of the Jews had been born, he issued an evil edict to slay all male babies up to two years of age. The roman governor Pontius Pilate warred against the LORD and His anointed when he condemned Jesus, an innocent man, to death.

These evil rulers thought they ended Jesus. But they were wrong, and their efforts were futile. Their rebellion against God never had a chance of success!

Three days after they crucified Him, Jesus came back—resurrected and glorified. For 40 days, He presented Himself alive by many ironclad proofs. Then after He gave instructions to the disciples, He ascended back to Heaven. ^{(Acts 1:3, 9-11)}

And He is coming again soon. He will defeat His enemies and establish His kingdom to reign on earth for 1000 years. The vain efforts and plans of silly men and dumb devils cannot stop the LORD and His Anointed.

Rulers and the elite today are similarly deceived. They are doing everything they can to try to gain an advantage and control over everyday people. To move forward in their ungodly ambitions, they must try to demobilize the one force that can restrain them – the Spirit-empowered Church!

Now, do you understand why Christians are persecuted?

Yet, the weapons of our warfare are not carnal (not of the flesh), but mighty in God for pulling down  strongholds. ^{(2 Cor 10:4)}

What does God think about the war against the LORD and His Anointed?

God knows these people’s efforts will come to nothing. They never have succeeded, and they never will. Their “arms are too short to box with God.”

So, God laughs! ^{(Ps 2:4)} After all, He is the Creator of the universe. He is the Giver and Sustainer of all life and the Sovereign Lord over everyone.

And with a breath, he can scatter the plans of all the nations who oppose him. ^{(Ps 33:10, TLB)}

Yet, He invites everyone, including rulers, kings, and leaders everywhere, to submit to His Son’s lordship. ^{(Ps 2: 10-12)}

So, good people, let’s take off the masks. Stand up in the Spirit. Open your mouth and shake the heavens with breakout praise. And declare His wonderful deeds among the people.
