The Holy Spirit was sent to help you.
No matter what is going on around you, you can count on three things:
- You are eternally loved by God.
- You are never alone.
- You are never helpless.
The Holy Spirit is Our Helper
After His death, burial, resurrection and ascension, Christ sent the Holy Spirit to be the believer’s Helper.
The Greek word for Helper is Paraklēte, from para (alongside) and kaleo (to call for a purpose). The Holy Spirit is called to help us.
5 Ways the Holy Spirit Will Help You
The Holy Spirit Will Comfort You
The Holy Spirit will comfort you in and through any trouble. He will remind you of God’s great and precious promises. He will remind you of God’s love, grace and peace. He will help us through life’s storms.
The Holy Spirit Will Guide You
The Holy Spirit—the eternal Spirit of Truth—will guide you into full and complete truth. He will bear witness with your spirit that you are a child of God. He will guide you to live right according to God’s Word.
The Holy Spirit Will Teach You
The Holy Spirit will teach you all things through God’s Word. He will reveal treasures of knowledge and wisdom essential for living.
The Holy Spirit Will Help You Pray
The Holy Spirit is the ultimate prayer partner. All-knowing, He knows the mind, heart and will of the Father. He will help us pray accordingly.
The Bible tells us to pray with all prayer and supplication in the spirit. (Eph 6:18) Praying in the spirit literally means to pray in the spiritual realm with the Holy Spirit’s aid. As we pray led and empowered by the Holy Spirit, He helps us pray effectively.
The Holy Spirit Will Strengthen You
The Holy Spirit—the Spirit of Might—will strengthen you with miraculous, wonder-working power. The same Spirit who raised Christ from the dead dwells in every believer. He will revive, enliven, and strengthen you spirit, soul, and body.
