5 Things to Know for a Soundly Established Heart
by Capazin Thornton
You know the times are fierce. But did you know you can have a soundly established heart through them all?
Yes, we live in fierce times among fierce people. But, rooted in the Rock, with strong confidence in God and His Word, we can have a soundly established heart—sure, steadfast, firm, secure and faithful.
| 1. | The established heart realizes God is in charge…of everything. | |||
| The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein.— Ps 24:1 | ||||
| The LORD has established His throne in heaven, and His kingdom rules over all.—Ps 103:19 | ||||
| 2. | The established heart realizes God’s deep love. | ||
| For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.— Rom 8:38-39 | |||
| What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?— Rom 8:31-32 | |||
| Say this: GOD is LOVE. God LOVES me. God loves ME! | |||
| 3. | The established heart realizes every adverse circumstance is temporary. | ||
| While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. — 2 Cor 4:18 | |||
| 4. | The established heart realizes God is working things out. | ||
| And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.— Rom 8:28 | |||
| 5. | The established heart knows God hears the prayers of the righteous. | ||
| For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayers; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.— 1Pet 3:12 | |||
| Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.— 1 John 5:14-15 | |||
Yes, friends, God is in charge. He loves you deeply. Every adverse circumstance you face is temporary. God will work things out for His ultimate glory and your maximum benefit. And, God hears and answers your Word-based, faith-filled prayers.
