Shut the Door to Evil

Shut the Door to Evil

Too often, we fail to recognize that the reason some problems prevail in our lives is that we have not shut the door to evil.

You might be saved, sanctified, and filled with the Holy Spirit. Still, if you celebrate evil in any form, you are under delusion.

Halloween is Rooted in Evil

Everything has a root – a basic cause, source, or origin – and Halloween is rooted in evil.

It has been reported that Halloween is one of the most-celebrated “holidays” of the year, with many Christians participating.

Let’s break that down. Today, a holiday is defined as “a day of festivity or creation when no work is done.” Think about that. Today, in America, there is a “holiday” for everything, more evil than good. And some Christians appear to be unaware of the distinction.

So, what is at the root of the “holiday” known today as Halloween? It started hundreds of years before the Lord’s advent in the region of the Celts, who inhabited what is now France, Germany, England, Scotland, and Ireland.

Celtic priests, teachers, and judges called Druids practiced barbaric human sacrifice and worshipped false gods and idols. The Druids were said to believe that the soul was immortal and passed at death from one person into another. They performed religious ceremonies in forest sanctuaries. During the Gallo-Roman period, the Celts built temples to deities associated with nature, fertility, and war.

According to Roman historians and Greek writings, the earliest known references to the Druids date back to the 3rd century BC, with more detailed accounts provided by Julius Caesar in his writings during the first century BC.

According to Julius Caesar, who is the principal source of information about the Druids, there were two groups of men in Gaul that were held in honor: the Druids and the noblemen. Caesar related that the Druids took charge of public and private sacrifices, and many young men went to them for instruction.

What Does the Bible Say?

“God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.” (1 John 1:5)

“Give no place to the devil.” (Eph 4:27)

“For you were once darkness but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.” (Eph 5:8)

Never Celebrate Evil

The devil’s modus operandi is to kill, steal, and destroy people. Never celebrate the devil or his works, in any form. And remember, evil is live spelled backwards.

    1. Thanks Cappi for this blog!!! I’ve always known how evil Halloween is, but I wasn’t familiar with the historical background. Again, thank you.
