In the past I spent a lot of time waiting for the right moment to do this or that. I was always working toward and waiting for some future event to catapult me into my ultimate purpose. Sound familiar?
How to Seize Wonderful Opportunity Every Day
While we may in fact be one contact or one creative idea away from a life-changing moment, we can seize life-changing opportunity right now.
With that in mind, here are some wonderful opportunities you can seize today.
Opportunity of Access
There is nothing like having free access to enjoyable events.
A few years ago someone purchased and gave me a half-dozen movie tickets. These tickets are unique because: (1) they never expire—I can use them now, or 20 years from now, and (2) I will not have to pay one penny more at the box office to see any movie. I simply present my pre-purchased ticket. Free admission is guaranteed.
Friends, Christ paid the full price for every person to have free, unlimited access to God forever! This access of accesses is given to whoever will receive it.
When you receive Christ as Savior, God acquits you from all sin, guilt, and condemnation. He gives you a new spirit. He declares you right with Him. You have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. As the result, you can come near, approach, visit and worship Him with confidence.
Opportunity to Ask
God invites you to come into His presence any time day or night. He invites you to ask for what you need. And He promises you:
Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them and you will have them.—Mark 11:24
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.—John 15:7
Wow! What opportunity to start every day with a winning perspective.
Opportunity to Appreciate
To appreciate means to value, highly regard, treasure, respect. We show our high regard and respect for God by living holy and giving praise and thanks to Him.
Every day we can thank Him for His blessings, provision, protection, guidance, faithfulness and all His great and precious promises.
Opportunity to Adopt a Fresh Attitude
Yesterday may have been tough, last week grueling. But, today is a new day. You can start the day with a fresh, positive attitude.
We face challenges every day. When we seize every opportunity to spend time in the presence of the Lord, we can handle anything.
