5 Amazing Ways to Encourage Yourself and Soar High
Don’t let tough times and tough people get you down; encourage yourself.
To encourage is to inspire, strengthen and fortify with courage, spirit, hope, or confidence.
Pressure comes from the outside. The Greek word for pressure means crowd, press, squeeze, compress, or reduce by using psychological stress. Thus, the power inside you must overrule the harassing and constricting forces around you.
Here are some fantastic ways to encourage yourself and soar high over circumstances.
5 Fantastic Ways to Encourage Yourself
1. Start the day with thanksgiving.
For starters: I’m thankful to be alive, in my right mind, with a roof over my head and a floor under my feet. I am so blessed! Thank You, Lord! There are thousands of things to be thankful for. So, go ahead and shout them out.
2. Be joyful.
You may not always like the circumstances of your life, but you can be joyful in and through them.
Joy is part of the fruit of our recreated spirit. It is love exalted, leaping out in delight and gladness, success and victory.
Encourage yourself by choosing to be joyful. Rejoice in the Lord. When you rejoice:
- God is magnified (amplified, enlarged).
- Pressure is diminished (made tiny).
- You gain strength, fortitude, and a victorious perspective.
3. Encourage yourself by reading at least one powerful Scripture everyday
Just one powerful encouraging Scripture can be all you need to jumpstart your day. Read it out loud. Realize God speaks out from the pages of the Bible to you personally. No one wants you to soar above the circumstances of life more than God. And He has given you His Word to encourage yourself.
4. Confidently Declare God’s Provision, Protection, and Preservation.
And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. —Phil 4:19
The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? —Ps 27:1
I am kept by the power of God through faith. — 1 Pet 1:5
5. Encourage yourself knowing how much God loves you.
Stop thinking that nobody loves you! God loves you—lavishly, tenaciously, immeasurably, perpetually, eternally!
Every day, encourage yourself. Let love, joy, and peace rule your heart. You will bless the people around you. And you will be amazed how quickly contrary circumstances turn around in your favor.
