An open door

The Book of Revelation is a book of great hope, encouragement, and blessing—for the faithful. To the faithful the Lord says:

“I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.”—Rev 3:8 (NKJV)

The Lord has set before us an open door

The Lord has set before us an open door through which we have 24/7 access to our Heavenly Father and Heaven’s resources in, by and through Christ. “For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen . . . .” (2 Cor 1:20)

No one can shut

God has opened an effectual door for believers that no one can shut. Not the devil and his demons. Not any person or created thing.

Open door to those of little strength

You may feel tired, weak, and of little strength. God says:

  • Be strong in the Lord and in the mighty power inherent in Him, the Omnipotent One. Be strengthened by the mighty miraculous power dwelling in your inner man by the Holy Spirit!
  • Put on the whole armor of God (once-and-for-all)!
  • Pray in the Spirit—motivated, directed and empowered by the Holy Spirit!
  • Sing songs of praise!
  • Stay joyful in the Lord, for the joy of the Lord is your strength!

(Eph 6:10, 13-18; Eph 3:16; Jude 1:20; Neh 8:10)

Open door to those who keep God’s Word

God is blessing those who keep (guard, preserve, and observe to do) His Word. Every day, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Tim 2:15).

God’s written Word is the more sure word of prophecy. (2 Pet 1:19) When you center on God’s Word, God’s Word will keep you centered.

Open door to those who do not deny His Name

In my previous blog, Fellowship of the Unashamed, I wrote to encourage believers to take a fresh stand for Jesus Christ, to never be ashamed of the gospel by which we are saved. For in the gospel God’s righteousness (what is right in God’s sight) is revealed and fulfilled in Christ alone.

When people around us mock Jesus, lovingly tell them that Jesus died for their sins so they may be forgiven and have eternal life.

Season of great grace

“And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all.”—Acts 4:33

This year, from the pulpit to the pew, the faithful, those who favor God’s righteous cause, will experience God’s super abundant grace, favor, and blessings. Ministries and churches that give the Holy Spirit free reign, keep God’s Word, and glorify and magnify the Lord Jesus will flourish.
