Under Construction

Houses under construction
. . . You are God’s building. 1 Cor 3:9
God’s work in a person’s life is like the construction of a building. It is impressive to see a beautifully finished building just weeks after seeing a big empty hole in the ground.
First is excavation and hauling away tons of dirt. Next, workers lay a concrete foundation. The foundation is a critical phase since the foundation bears the weight of the entire structure. If the foundation is not right, the building could collapse.
Soon we see the framework, roof, windows and doors. Then interior work such as plumbing, electrical wiring, insulation, sheetrock, painting, and putting in floors takes place. What a fantastic amount of work by a team of craftsmen to get from the blueprint to the finished building.
People under construction
Concerning people, God is the divine architect. He constructs us from the inside out as we yield to him day by day. None of us can know the inner workings and dealings of God in someone else’s life. Many times we do not know or understand God’s dealings in our own lives.
Under construction, perfected in Christ
Let us remember every true believer is already complete in, by, and through Christ.
“Moreover whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called, whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified” (Rom 8:29-30).
Therefore, let us love and be patient with people. And, let us continue to thank and praise God for His work in their lives, as well as our own.

I really enjoyed this! You made me stop and be reminded that the Lord is working on all of us!! Thank
you for this word in season!
We’re living in a time when people are super critical. As Christ believers, we should make every effort to build people up through kind words and prayer.
