Remember book

In “7 Things to Always Remember (Pt 1)”, we looked at three things the Bible tells us to always remember. They were: (1) the day you were brought out of bondage; (2) that it is God who gives you the power to get wealth; and (3) to trust in the Lord. Here we will look at four more things to always remember.

4.   Always remember to stir up your gift

Remember to stir up—fan the flame, bring to life the fire again—the gift(s) God has blessed you with. (2 Tim 1:6)

Always remember that you are one of a kind, uniquely gifted and talented. God wants you to discover, develop, and flow in your gift(s). These are crazy times, but exciting times. Get passionate about God’s plan and purpose for your life!

5.   Always remember to pray for others

The apostle Paul wrote, “I thank God, whom I serve with a pure conscience, as my forefathers did, as without ceasing I remember you in my prayers night and day.” (2 Tim 1:3) He also said, “I thank my God upon every remembrance of you.” (Phil 1:3) Always remember to pray and offer thanks for others.

6.   Always remember to meditate in God’s Word

Always remember to meditate day and night in God’s powerfully dynamic Word. (Josh 1:8) God’s Word is life. If we meditate— think on, contemplate, ponder, study, utter, and recite— the Word day and night, and do what the Word instructs us, then we will make our way prosperous and have good success.

7.   Always remember God’s benefits

Always remember God’s benefits. The Bible says that God daily loads us with benefits. Here are a few to remember and thank Him for:

  • HE FORGIVES…all your sins. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 Jn 1:9)
  • HE HEALS all your diseases.
  • HE REDEEMS your life from destruction.
  • HE RESTORES your soul.
  • HE CROWNS (compasses) you with loving-kindness and tender mercies.
  • HE SATISFIES your mouth with good things.
  • HE RENEWS (revives, reawakens) your youth like the eagle’s.

(See Ps 68:19; 103:1-5)

These 7 things to always remember will remind you of God’s amazing love, grace, provision, and plan for your life.
