You are capable and powerful
Did you know you are capable and powerful–ideally suited for these ferocious times? No matter what is happening, you have an inside advantage.
You are of God, little children, and have overcome them because He that is in you is greater than he who is in the world. – 1 John 4:4
Early January 2020, I was sick with Covid-19 for three weeks. It started one night with sneezing. The next day, I was vomiting and had diarrhea. Then came a hacking cough, no appetite, headaches, dizzy spells, no energy, and my whole body ached. At one point, I thought my time on Earth was over.
Yet, each day, I awoke and, as always, praised the Lord and declared His life-sustaining promises. I will share a few takeaways from this experience to help you overcome any challenge.
You are capable and powerful because the Spirit of the Almighty is in you.
When you received Christ, Almighty God gave you a new spirit and put His Spirit within. The same Spirit who raised Christ from the dead now lives in you. And He constantly works in you to revitalize, strengthen, sustain, teach, and conform you to the image of Christ. (Philippians 2:13, Romans 8:11, 29)
You are capable and powerful through Christ who strengthens you.
Believe and proclaim what the Scripture promises: “I can do all things through Christ (the Anointed One and His anointing) which strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).
When I was sick, I believed my spirit would sustain me through this infirmity (see Proverbs 18:14). Thank God for His Spirit and Word working with our faith to usher us into experiencing God’s promises.
Nothing can separate you from God’s love in Christ Jesus.
God makes sure that “neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-39).
Take action.
- Find two or three Scriptures that reveal you are capable and powerful in Christ.
- Meditate, believe, and proclaim the Scriptures.
- Always see yourself through God’s Word.
When attacked, remember the sequence for victory.
- The Word comes. (Jn 17:17)
- Faith comes. (Rom 10:17)
- The devil comes to get you back off in your stand of faith. (Mark 4:15)
- Persevere and count it all joy. (Jas 1:2-4)
- You will experience the Word. (Rom 5:3-5)
- And, you will have a living hope of victory the next time you face a challenge. (Heb 6:19)

God loves us and gives us the ability through Christ to be capable and powerful.
It is essential to take care of ourselves – spirit, soul, and body. Above all, tap into your tremendous inner forces of life so that nothing on the outside can shake, sway, or stop you.
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. – Ephesians 3:20

Amen! Great word!!!
Dominica, thank you for reading, commenting, and sharing with your friends. Yesterday I found out that Facebook has essentially de-platformed me because they don’t like my blogs. Glory to God. Something I’m saying must be making the devil mad. Blessings to you.
So many people need to hear these words of encouragement so badly right now. Thank you Cap for this great word in season!
Thank you, Janice. I appreciate you taking the time to read and share my posts. Unfortunately, Facebook is not sharing. They didn’t like “God-Given Powers You Possess” or “Fourth Man in the Fiery Furnace,” so they demonetized me so I can’t get circulation on their platform. I believe God will open other doors. Again, thank you for your support. May God’s richest blessings be yours.
