What Do You See?

angel

Someone said, “To believe the impossible, one must first see the invisible.” What if you could glimpse into the spirit realm and see glorious things including angels ready to do God’s bidding?

In 2 Kings 6 the king of Syria was making war against Israel. But before he could carry out an attack, the king of Israel changed course. The fact was, God revealed the king of Syria’s plans to Elisha the prophet who in turn revealed them to the king of Israel. The king of Israel used this prophetic insight to outsmart the king of Syria every time.

The king of Syria did not know what was going on. He thought there must be a traitor in his camp. His servants said, “No.” It was Elisha the prophet who revealed the Syrian king’s secrets to the king of Israel.

One night the king of Syria sent horses and chariots and a great army to surround the city where Elisha lived. When Elisha’s servant went outside the next morning, he saw the massive Syrian army. He said to Elisha, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?”

So he [Elisha] answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”

And Elisha prayed, and said, “LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.”

Then the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.”
(2 Kings 6:16-17)

What do you see?

Friends, what do you see in your life on a daily basis?  Do you see circumstances defeating you? Or do you see yourself divinely protected, provided for, and undefeatable in, by and through Christ?

What do you see? —get a heavenly point of view

My prayer for you is that God will open your spiritual eyes so that you will:

  1. SEE everything from a heavenly point of view, as revealed in the Scriptures. REALIZE that there are more on the side of the righteous than there are on the side of the unrighteous. Notice, two-thirds of all angels created serve God, while only one-third serve the devil.
  2. SPEAK God’s Word. God’s Word is the power of God to salvation—deliverance, preservation, safety, soundness, healing, wholeness, and victory. And, very importantly, God’s angels hearken to the voice of God’s Word. Be that voice.
  3. MAGNIFY the Lord above every circumstance. The Virgin Mary said, “My soul magnifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior” (Lk 1:46-47). Notice, the soul is supposed to magnify (enlarge, make great) the Lord, not the circumstances. The spirit man is supposed to rejoice—literally jump for joy—in the Lord!
  4. REST in the finished work of Christ. Christ is seated at the right hand of God the Father in Heaven. Everything is under his feet. He has provided everything you need now and forevermore. And He ever lives to make intercession for you.
  5. REMEMBER, God loves you with an everlasting love. You can confidently cast all your cares on Him, because He personally and eternally cares for you.
